Samsung Galaxy S4 : Life Companion
Body Design & Display
On First look the Galaxy S4 looks somewhat similar to its predecessor Galaxy S3 but under hood it has a lot more to offer. The outer body of the Galaxy S4 is built with plastic, similar to the Galaxy S3. It has a 4.99 inch Full HD Super AMOLED Display with resolution of 1920x1080 (~441 ppi). The S4 is slimmer and lighter as compared to the Galaxy S3. The dimensions are 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm and it weighs 130 grams.
Under Hood
The S4 is said to be the First ever Smartphone to feature an Octa-Core CPU, which means eight cores or power. The S4 has 2 sets of Quad core processors, The first one is 1.6GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A-15 and the second one is 1.2GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7. The first set of processors ('The A-15's) do all the heavy lifting and the second set of processors ('The A7's) take care of less demanding tasks and thus save power. The S4 is equipped with 2GB RAM and Exynos 5410 Octa chipset.
It is said that there will be another version of Galaxy S4 which will feature a 1.9GHz Krait 300 processor and Snapdragon 600 chipset. Not sure but I guess it will be for US market.
