Yu, a Micromax subsidary brand is all set to launch their new flagship smartphone Yunicorn, which is said to redefine flagship on May 31, 2016. Yu Yunicorn was supposed to launch on May 18 but was postponed due to clash between the launch and election results in India. The phone will be unveiled by the brand in their New Delhi event on May 31.
Yu is very confident when it comes to the new flagship - Yunicorn, according to them the new flagship will change the way people look at flagships, the phone is also said to be priced competitively. Since the partnership between Yu and Cyanogen has officially ended now, the new handset is said to run stock Android OS, instead of CyanogenMod. The company hasn't revealed any of the specs yet but according to the rumors, Yunicorn is said to house a powerful processor with 4GB RAM and Full HD Display. Some rumors say that the phone will pack Mediatek Helio P10 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, 5.5 inch 1080p resolution display, metal uni-body design with fingerprint sensor.
No other information is available yet, so I guess we'll have to wait for May 31 for the brand to reveal their latest device. After Yutopia's failure, this is their one shot for a comeback.
