Flash memory products manufacturer SanDisk & Micron Technology showcased the world's first microSD card with 1 Terabyte storage capacity at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. Smartphones nowadays are capable of holding as much data as a regular laptop, whether you go for a premium smartphone with 1TB storage capacity (Samsung Galaxy S10+ 1TB) or just insert a 1TB microSD card in your smartphone, both ways you can store enormous amounts of data and take it along with you.
Coming to the Read & Write speeds of SanDisk & Micron 1TB microSD cards, Micron takes the crown home when it comes to write speed, with 95 MB/s Micron is 5 MB/s faster than SanDisk 1TB microSD card which has a writing speed of 90MB/s - but the tables turn when it comes to Read speed, SanDisk microSD card boasts read speed of 160 MB/s while Micron microSD card has a read speed of 100MB/s.

Both SanDisk & Micron microSD cards are of A2 standard which means that they can even run apps on them.
Micron's 1TB microSD card will be coming to the market in the second quarter of this year, the pricing hasn't been revealed yet. SanDisk 1TB microSD card is priced at $449 and will be available around April this year.
