Step 2: Tap on the three-dots button > Settings > About Bixby Voice
Step 3: Tap on the Update button.
This will update your Bixby app to the latest version and will add the new features & improvements.
Remapping Bixby Key
Now that you have updated the Bixby app, its time to remap the Bixby button. Follow the steps given below to customize the Bixby key. Please remember that you can either assign you preferred app/command to a single press or double press of Bixby button, but in any case the Bixby will remain on the other. And in both cases, long press will always summon Bixby voice assistant.
For example; If you assign Facebook on single press then Bixby will remain present on double press, and if you assign Facebook on double press then Bixby will remain present on single press.
Go to Settings > Advanced features > Bixby key
Choose between
Single press Bixby / Double press Any app or command.
Double press Bixby / Single press Any app or command.
You can pick your favorite pre-installed / third party app or a Bixby command of your choice.
So that's it, now you can officially remap or customize the Bixby button as per your choice, however there is no way to kick out Bixby completely but this new feature is still a sight of relief for many. I hope this tutorial was helpful, do let me know in the comments section.
