Mumbai, June 3, 2015: HP India and Bang & Olufsen announced HP Omen Gaming series laptop with Bang & Olufsen audio and new HP Pavilion 15 series laptops with B&O Play. HP Pavilion 15 with B&O Play was launched in three variants, starting from Rs.44,490 in India, on the other hand, HP Omen gaming laptop is priced at Rs.1,59,990 and is available in single configuration, as of yet. HP Omen was first launched by HP in November 2013, below are the configuration of the laptops, announced in India.
HP Omen 15-5116TX
HP Omen series is the first true gaming series laptops from HP, the HP Omen 15-5116TX packs a 15.6 Inch Full HD LED-backlit IPS display with resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, it is a capacitive touchscreen display which supports multi-touch. It packs Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor (4th Generation) with 4 cores and 8 threads, clocked at 2.6GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz. Yes, it is a 64-bit processor with 6MB Cache, 8GB DDR3L-1600 RAM and runs Windows 8.1.
Storage wise, it has a 256GB PCIe SSD and a dedicated graphics card - Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M (N15P -GX) GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 video RAM. Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Intel WiDi, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, SD card reader, HDMI v1.4b port, Mini DisplayPort v1.2, 4 USB Ports 3.0 and a 3.5 mm audio jack which also works as microphone jack. Powered by a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery, HP Omen 15-5116TX has dual front-facing Bang & Olufsen speakers with multicolour lighting, HP TrueVision full-HD web camera, Big sized Touch pad and customisable RGB-backlit keyboard with six programmable keys and seven zones of multicolour lighting.
HP Omen 15-5116TX weighs 2.12 KG and has a 15.5mm thin body, when closed. The entire measurements of HP Omen 15-5116TX is 382.9x247.5x15.5mm.
HP Pavilion 15
HP Pavilion 15 with B&O play comes in two models, ab027TX (Natural Silver) and ab028TX (Blizzard White) packs a 15.6 Inch Full HD LED-backlit display with resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It packs Intel Core i3-5010U processor (5th Generation) with 2 cores and 4 threads, clocked at 2.1GHz, 64-bit processor with 3MB Cache, 4GB DDR3L-1600 RAM and runs Windows 8.1.
It has 1TB 5400RPM hard drive and a dedicated graphics card - AMD Radeon R7 M360 with 2GB of DDR3 video RAM. Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with Miracast support, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI v1.4 port, RJ-45 Ethernet port, 2 USB Ports 3.0 & 1 USB 2.0 port and a 3.5 mm audio jack which also works as microphone jack. 8x SuperMulti DVD Writer, Powered by a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery, It has 720p HD webcam with dual-array digital microphones. It weighs 2.29 KG.
Variant 2
HP Pavilion 15 ab032TX (Natural Silver) and ab030TX (Blizzard White) is same as the above listed variant, what differs is that it packs fifth-generation Intel Core i5-5200U processor (2 cores, 4 threads) clocked at 2.2GHz with Turbo up to 2.7GHz, 3MB cache and 8GB of DDR3L-1600 RAM with additional empty slots for upgrading RAM. It has dedicated graphic card - Nvidia GeForce 940M GPU with 2GB of DDR4 video RAM. It is priced at Rs.54,990
Variant 3
With all features same and the base variant, HP Pavilion 15 ab035TX (Natural Silver) and ab034TX (Blizzard White) packs fifth-generation Intel Core i7-5500U (2 cores, 4 threads) clocked at 2.4GHz with Turbo up to 3GHz. It has 4MB Cache, 8GB of DDR3L-1600 RAM with additional empty slots for upgrading RAM. It has dedicated graphic card - Nvidia GeForce 940M GPU with 2GB of DDR4 video RAM. It is priced at Rs.67,990.
