After the launch of Oppo Enco W31 TWS earphones in May 2020, Oppo came out with another TWS earphone in the Enco series, this time they're even more affordable and look fantastic, I'm talking about Oppo Enco W11 earphones. These new TWS earphones sport trendy white looks and are available in only one color option. On paper the specs and design feel amazing, everything which one would want at this price point is being delivered, but are they really that good? or should we go by the proverb "All that glitters is not gold". Well, we need to find that out. Recently I got my hands onto them and am using it ever since, so today I'll be sharing my review with you guys.

Unboxing
This is my favorite part, I just love unboxing gadgets and I did enjoy the experience with Oppo Enco W11 TWS earphones. The Enco W11 comes in a compact, squarish white box which gives Apple vibes. The box has a quite minimalistic design, it features the picture of the earphones along with the brand logo and model name. On the back, you'll find all the technical information which literally no one reads.
On opening the box you're greeted by the earphone case right in the front, the earphones rest inside the case, powered to perform straight away. Behind the case, you'll find other accessories and documentation. You get a small white USB Type-C cable for charging, three different sizes of ear-tips (medium size ear-tips are already installed on the earphones, while you get small & large size separately). Other than that, you get a Warranty booklet and a User Manual. That's all in the box.

Build & Design
The earphone case is designed like a pebble, the glossy white finish is a delight to look at, and it feels quite premium in the hand. It's commendable how Oppo managed to provide such good quality materials at this budget price point. The earphone case sports the brand logo on the top lid, the bottom contains important information, certification, and other logos. The front has a flushed groove or lip for opening the lid, below that you'll find an LED indicator which comes to life as soon as you open the case. The rear section contains the USB Type-C charging port below the hinge. The opening of the case lid feels good, it seems durable and isn't clumsy or shakey at all. On closing the lid you hear a snap which is quite satisfactory. The charging case houses the two earbuds and provides them with power as they rest inside. The magnetic housing ensures that the earbuds remain in their charging position and do not move when kept inside the case. The buds are made up of glossy plastic, Sometimes I had a hard time taking the buds out of the case, as I was unable to grip the buds and they kept slipping.
The earbuds are ergonomically designed, they are very light in weight and fit perfectly in your ears. Some people might find the earbuds a bit bulkier but trust me they fit well. The inner portion of the earbud has L and R markers which indicate the side you need to wear them. Along with the markers, you'll also find the gold plated charging points where the pins rest inside the case. The outer side of the earbuds consists of a microphone and the touch surface.
Touch Controls
Oppo Enco W11 comes with a bigger touch surface which makes controlling your music & calls quite easy on the go. Using some simple touch inputs you can play/pause your music, move to next/previous tracks, increase/decrease the volume, summon virtual assistant (Siri, Google Assistant, etc), pick up or end calls.
- Play/Pause Music: Single Tap on either earbud.
- Next Track: Double Tap on the Right earbud.
- Previous Track: Double Tap on the Left earbud.
- Increasing Volume: Tap and hold on Right earbud.
- Decreasing Volume: Tap and hold on Left earbud.
- Virtual Assistant: Triple Tap on either earbud.
- Pickup/End calls: Double Tap on either earbud
The touch controls work flawlessly but there is a small lag in between which sometimes seems annoying but can't complain at this price point. The bigger touch surface is simply a boon as you get more area to get your input registered.
How well do they fit?
The earbuds are slightly bigger as compared to other brands so people with small ears might find them a tad bit bulkier but since I have big ears, I didn't have any problem fitting them. However, I did had some problems keeping my ears sealed. The medium-sized ear-tips which came pre-installed felt too small which was quite strange since on the other brands I usually find the medium size ear-tips perfect for my ears, anyway, so I switched to large size tips which fitted me well but still struggled a bit to seal my ears properly. To fix this, I opted for custom ear-tips which improved my experience a lot over stock ear-tips but with custom ear-tips on, the earbuds didn't fit inside the case, so I had to switch back to stock tips.
Most people won't face any fitting issues, the different size ear-tips work well for most people even with small ears. I asked a lot of friends to try on Oppo Enco W11 earbuds to see if they face any issues with the fit, no one complained. Oppo Enco W11 earbuds are very light in weight, and after some time you don't even feel them. The fit is so snugged that they won't fall off no matter how hard you bang your head.
Sound Quality
Coming to the most important part of the review, the audio quality on Oppo Enco W11 is really good and balanced overall. The bass response is good, not very prominent, or on the heavier side but surely noticeable. The mids are great, the vocals are crisp and clear making these earphones an ideal choice for podcasts and audiobook listening. The soundstage on Enco W11 is very good, the details and instrument separation can be heard clearly. The highs on Enco W11 feel a bit boosted and sharp for my liking, the treble felt overpowering the rest of the frequencies and unnecessarily boosted, but this is easily fixable by some equalizer adjustments. Since there is no app equalizer support from Oppo, you'll have to rely on third-party equalizer or music apps to make the adjustments. I use PowerAmp app on my phone for music listening, PowerAmp comes with an in-built equalizer which is very powerful and highly customizable. It took me some time to make the necessary adjustments in the equalizer as per my music taste, but once I was done, bravo, the experience improved drastically. I was able to tune the frequencies as per my liking and it was just amazing.
Binaural Simultaneous Bluetooth Transmission
Oppo Enco W11 True Wireless earphones come with Binaural simultaneous Bluetooth transmission support, which means that both the earbuds receive audio signal simultaneously unlike other TWS earphones which receive the signal on one side and then relay it to the other side. With Binaural simultaneous Bluetooth transmission, the signal is very stable and the latency is very low as compared to others.
Battery Performance
Oppo claims a 20-hour battery backup with the charging case and 5-hour music playback on a single charge which is quite close to my testing. Throughout my usage, I got a consistent 4+ hours on a single charge and the charging case charged my earbuds a total of four times which is close enough to the claim. In a day-to-day scenario, the case will keep your buds charged up whenever you put them inside so it's difficult to actually keep the count of actual hours but it will easily last a few days for people who use them moderately. Hardcore users will still be able to get through a couple of days easily.
The charging case comes with a 400 mAh battery, it takes roughly 2 hours to charge from nothing to full with earbuds inside. On the other hand, the earbuds come with 40 mAh battery each and take about 2 hours to charge from nothing to full when inside the case.
Comparing Oppo Enco W11 with Other Budget TWS
Comparing Oppo Enco W11 with other budget TWS earphones like Redmi Earbuds S, Realme Buds Q, Haylou GT1 Pro, Boat Airdopes 171, and QCY QS1; which are available in the market at the price point of Rs.2000, we see how well Oppo has designed its product.
In terms of features, Enco W11 comes with near-perfect touch control which works flawlessly. Enco W11 has a better microphone and noise-canceling feature which makes your phone call experience much better, clear, and with fewer background noises. 20-hour battery backup with charging case is good enough to keep you charged up for a few days, on a single charge the earbuds can last up to 5 hours which is better or on par with what other budget earphones are providing.
Oppo's close competitor here is Realme, but if I compare Enco W11 with Realme Buds Q then again Enco has a lot more to offer like a bigger touch surface, better sound quality, better microphone, and superior IP55 dust & water resistance which cannot be ignored.
No Low-Latency or Gaming Mode
Oppo did not advertise any low-latency or gaming mode for Enco W11, so this could be a dealbreaker for gamers, but thanks to Binaural Simultaneous Bluetooth transmission support, the latency during gaming was quite low and I was totally fine with it. It does not have a dedicated low-latency or gaming mode but still does the job well. So if your main purpose of buying them is for playing PUBG or other games, and if low-latency mode is important to you, then you might have to look elsewhere otherwise you'll be fine.
Price & Availability
Oppo launched Enco W11 with a price tag of Rs.2,499 but over the time the price has dropped and now they're available for Rs.1,999 which makes them a steal deal. Conclusion
To be honest, I found Oppo Enco W11 to be the best budget TWS earphone I have ever used, they're simply amazing for a sub-2K price point. They're much better than Redmi Earbuds S, Realme Buds Q, etc. in terms of audio quality and features. I would highly recommend them to people who are looking for a good quality budget True wireless earphones, you cannot go wrong with them. However, one thing to note here is that they DO NOT COME WITH LOW-LATENCY MODE so that can be an issue if you're an avid fan of games like PUBG, etc. but other than that they have everything which one would look for in this price point.
