Asus Zenfone 3 Series Phones : A Brief Look At the Masterpieces

Recently, Asus unveiled their next generation flagship devices in India, Zenfone 3 series, in their Z3Nvolution event in New Delhi, on August 17, 2016. The event was packed with Asus fans & media from all over the country. We got the opportunity to personally cover the event in New Delhi, where Asus not only uncovered the Zenfone 3 range of smartphones but also Asus Zenbook 3 notebook. I won't be wasting your time with long introductions, let's straight away get to the deal.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL packs a 5.2-Inch Super IPS+ Full HD display with 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and pixel density of 424 ppi. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and under the hood is Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 with Octa-Core 2.0 GHz Cortex A53 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The internal storage available is 32 GB, which is expandable up to 256 GB using microSD (Please note, microSD card takes up SIM slot 2)

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL is a Dual SIM phone (Nano SIM and a Micro SIM) with a hybrid SIM 2 slot, which means it can house either a Micro SIM or a MicroSD card. The Rear camera present is a 16 Megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, Laser / Phase Detection Autofocus, 4 axis OIS sensor, (Dual tone) Dual LED flash and recording capability up to 4K (2160p@30fps) and 1080p @ 30fps. The front shooter is an 8 Megapixel camera with f/2.0 and Full HD 1080p recording support. It runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 topped with ZenUI 3.0. The phone comes with a mesmerizing design which looks very good in the hand, it weighs 144 grams & measures 7.7 mm. Asus initially launched Zenfone 3 ZE552KL in May 2016, but it took a couple of months for it to come to India, and finally on August 17, Asus launched it in the Indian market, along with other phones in the same series. Talking about Zenfone 3 ZE552KL, It packs a 5.5-Inch Super IPS+ Full HD display of 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and pixel density of 480 ppi. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625, clocked at 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 (Octa-Core) along with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with two RAM & Storage options; 3GB RAM & 32 GB Storage and 4GB RAM & 64GB storage option. 

Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL is a Dual SIM phone which houses a Nano SIM and a Micro SIM, the SIM 2 slot is a hybrid slot (which means it can house either a Micro SIM or a MicroSD card), the phone storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using microSD card. On the rear you get a 16 Megapixel Asus PixelMaster 3.0 camera with f/2.0 aperture, Laser / Phase Detection Autofocus, 4 axis OIS sensor, Dual tone - Dual LED flash and Full HD 1080p video recording capabilities. Asus Zenfone 3 Laser ZC551KL comes with a 5.5-Inch IPS LCD Full HD display with 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and pixel density of 401 ppi. This again comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and under the hood lies Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 with Octa-Core 1.4 GHz Cortex A53 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. Asus Zenfone 3 Laser comes in two storage options; 2GB RAM & 32GB storage and 4GB RAM & 64GB Storage. Both the variants support microSD card up to 256 GB.
