Asus Zenfone 3 Max with 4100 mAh Battery Launched in India

Today Asus announced a new member in their latest Zenfone 3 series, Asus Zenfone 3 Max. If you are a regular reader of this blog, then you might remember that about two months ago we took a brief look at the smartphones from Zenfone 3 series, followed by Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL Review, if you are new here then click on these links to check them out. Today we'll take a closer look at the newly arrived Asus Zenfone 3 Max smartphone.

Asus unveiled this new phone on November 9, 2016 in New Delhi, It comes in two variants; one with 5.5" Inch Display & the other with 5.2" Inch Display, priced at Rs.17,999 & Rs.12,999 respectively. Let's go through the specifications of Zenfone 3 Max variants, real quick.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) 5.5" Inch Display 

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) packs a 5.5" Inch IPS Full HD Display of resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels. It comes with 2.5D contoured glass with diamond-cut edges & beautiful metallic design. Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) measures 8.3 mm in thickness & weighs 175 grams. Under the hood, it packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core 64-bit processor, coupled with 3 GB RAM, Adreno 505 GPU & 32 GB Internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB using microSD card. Asus Zenfone 3 Max is a Dual-SIM smartphone & supports Micro+Nano sim cards. One of the slot is a hybrid slot, which can house either a Sim card or microSD card at a time. It runs Android v6.0 Marshmallow, topped with ZenUI 3.0, which is a custom Asus UI.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max sports a 16 Megapixel Rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Laser/Phase Detection Autofocus, five element prism lens, EIS & Dual LED Flash. The camera UI contains a lot of features & modes to choose from, it contains a Super Resolution Mode which takes multiple shots & stitches them together to form a huge 64 Megapixel picture. Other modes include Low light, Super HDR, Selfie, Beautification, Time Lapse, Panorama etc. The front camera is an 8 Megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, HDR, Low light & Beautification modes. The rear camera can shoot Full HD 1080p videos.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS support etc. It supports 4G LTE bands & comes with a Rear fingerprint sensor, which is said to unlock in 0.3 seconds. Zenfone 3 Max comes with a huge 4100 mAh battery, which compliments its name. The phone supports Reverse charging & comes with a Super Saving Mode. It is available in multiple colors; Titanium Grey, Glacier Silver & Sand Gold, and is priced at Rs.17,999 in India.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520KL) 5.2" Inch Display 

Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520KL) comes with a 5.2" Inch IPS HD Display of resolution 1280 x 720 pixels. It also comes with 2.5D contoured glass & premium aluminium alloy design. This variant of Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520KL) measures 8.55 mm in thickness & weighs 148 grams. It is powered by MediaTek MT6737T Quad-Core 64-bit processor along with 3 GB RAM, Mali T720 GPU & 32 GB Internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card. Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520KL) is a Dual-SIM smartphone with a hybrid sim slot. It supports Micro SIM + Nano SIM or MicroSD card + Nano SIM. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it comes with ZenUI 3.0 which is a custom UI by Asus.

When it comes to camera, It boasts a 13 Megapixel Rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED Flash, Autofocus, five element prism lens and multiple camera modes. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos.
