The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer ZOPO launched its latest smartphone, Color F2, yesterday in India, at a launch event which was held at The Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai. The new smartphone is the member of ZOPO's highly successful Color series. The Color F2 is a mid-range smartphone & is priced competitively at Rs.10,790. It comes with decent hardware & metal design. We were invited to the launch event yesterday, and got an opportunity to experience the new Color F2 smartphone. In this post I'll talk about the specifications, availability & first impression of the device. Lets quickly take a look at it.
ZOPO Color F2 sports a metallic uni-body design with brushed metal finish & 2.5d Curved glass in the front. It measures 8.5 mm in thickness & supports Dual Sim cards (Micro+Nano) plus it also supports microSD card up to 64 GB. ZOPO Color F2 packs a 5.5" Inch IPS HD Display of resolution 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood you get MediaTek MT6737 Quad-Core 64-bit processor, along with 2GB RAM & 16 GB Internal Storage. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, topped by ZOPO's custom UI. The top contains 3.5 mm jack & microUSB port, the bottom contains speaker & microphone grill.
ZOPO Color F2 features an 8 Megapixel Rear camera with Autofocus & LED Flash. There is a 5 Megapixel Front camera which clicks decent selfies, thanks to Face Beauty 4.0. It also comes with a front facing flash for low light selfies. When clicking selfies in low light, the front flash as well as the screen illuminates to deliver bright selfies. The Camera UI is something which I didn't like, it was way below my expectations. The Front & Rear camera's click decent pictures & videos. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS etc. ZOPO Color F2 supports 2G, 3G & 4G networks across India. However according to the brand, its main USP is the Multi-Function fingerprint sensor which enables users to control other functions with one touch. Users can control gallery, camera, music, videos etc. using the fingerprint sensor. It comes with 2300 mAh battery.
The phone does feel good in hands, the metal design gives it a premium look & the brushed metal finish makes it fingerprint resistant & non-slippery. ZOPO Color F2 is priced at Rs.10,790 and will be available starting today. The first impressions with the device were good, the camera performance was decent & UI was smooth. I was disappointed with the battery fitted inside, looking at the display size of 5.5" Inches, 2300 mAh battery seems small in comparison & might not last long. Overall the phone was good, but I can't say much before I run my tests on it.
