Mumbai, 24th September 2016: Chinese electronics manufacturer OPPO, under Corporate Social Responsibility initiative campaign, decided to do its bit for the betterment of the society through their 'Gift Beautiful City' campaign, by directly associating with Bollywood celebrities in three different cities of India, and donating Rs. 2 Lakh ($3000 USD) to three different NGOs across the cities. The campaign was lead by Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khuranna & Jacqueline Fernandez; in Mumbai, New Delhi & Bangalore respectively.

We covered the Mumbai event where Parineeti Chopra showed up in a Meet & Greet event, held in Mumbai today. Present at the event were fans, media, and kids from Doorstep school (NGO) - Parineeti Chopra encouraged people to keep their city clean, stop littering on roads, parks or any surroundings, always throw garbage in the bins etc. She also spoke on painting a graffiti wall in Mumbai, to make the city look beautiful. Also, present at the event were Oppo officials, including Mr.Will Yang, who happens to be the Brand Director, OPPO India.
During the event, Mr.Will Yang addressed the audience & said;
With this campaign, we would like to reach out to the youth, educate them, spread awareness about how important it is to keep one’s city beautiful and clean as they are the future generation who will build a beautiful world. With such influential celebrities and NGOs coming together for this initiative, we feel our purpose to-serve the society is getting close. - Will Yang, Brand Director, Oppo India
In the later part of the event, Parineeti Chopra, on behalf of OPPO India, donated a sum of Rs.200,000 INR to Doorstep school.

The event concluded successfully and was followed by a Media conference & Q&A session with Parineeti Chopra & Will Yang. This session was a private interaction with Media, and during this several questions related to the campaign, her upcoming movies etc. were asked to Parineeti, and she did answer them well, Sorry, I won't be listing them here, since I want to keep this article focused on Gift Beautiful City initiative only. Apart from Mumbai, a similar kind of event was also held in Gurgaon & Bangalore by Oppo India, where Bollywood celebrities Ayushmann Khurana (Gurgaon) & Jacqueline Fernandez (Bangalore) made an appearance and donated a sum of Rs.200,000 INR on behalf of Oppo India to NGOs VIDYA Integrated Development for Youth and Adults (Gurgaon) and Parikrama Foundation (Bangalore)
