If someone can pull off a smartphone or I must say smartphones, launch like that, it definitely is Samsung. The rumors were around and the launch of mid-range smartphones from Samsung was expected since quite some time. Finally the wait is over, Samsung launched four new Galaxy smartphones in their mid-range J series & A series today in India. The smartphones are known as Samsung Galaxy J8 & Galaxy J6 from the J series, and Galaxy A6+ & Galaxy A6 from the A series. All of the above mentioned smartphones come with Samsung's signature Infinity display and the pricing starts from Rs.13,990 INR. Without wasting time, lets jump right into it.
Samsung has been one of the leaders and most trusted smartphone brand in India, and the smartphones launched by them today sets a standard for an unparalleled viewing experience. According to Samsung, a user spends 85% of its time using display intensive apps like social media, whatsapp, gaming, watching movies etc. So a great display will definitely make the experience more pleasurable. The Galaxy J series & A series smartphones come with Super AMOLED Infinity displays, this will definitely raise the display standard of mid-range smartphones.
Samsung J Series (2018)
Talking about the J series first, the Galaxy J series smartphones come with a premium polycarbonate unibody design, with sleek curves, elegant & ergonomic design and of course, with an Infinity display which has very thin bezels for an immersive experience.
Samsung Galaxy J8
Samsung Galaxy J8 comes with a 6" Inch Super AMOLED HD+ display with a resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, Octa-Core processor and Adreno 506 GPU. Along with that you get 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. Samsung Galaxy J8 comes with a dedicated microSD slot and Dual-SIM slots.
Samsung Galaxy J8 runs Android 8.0 Oreo, topped with Samsung's custom UI. On the rear you get a Dual-camera setup which consists of a 16 Megapixel of f/1.7 aperture + a 5 Megapixel sensor of f/1.9 aperture. On one side of the rear camera you'll find an LED flash, while the fingerprint sensor is placed below the camera. The front camera is a 16 Megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and comes with a front flash. Samsung Galaxy J6
Samsung Galaxy J6 is the cheaper one out of all the smartphones launched today, it packs a 5.6" inch Super AMOLED HD+ display of resolution 1480 x 720 pixels, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D contoured glass. Unlike Galaxy J8, the Galaxy J6 packs Exynos 7 series chipset (Exynos 7870), Octa-core processor with Mali-T830 GPU. Samsung Galaxy J6 comes in two memory variants, the first one comes with 3GB RAM & 32GB storage while the second variant comes with 4GB RAM & 64GB storage. The memory is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card, which can be inserted in the dedicated microSD slot.
Samsung Galaxy J6 also runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, topped with Samsung's custom UI. The rear camera is a 13 Megapixel sensor of f/1.9 aperture and comes with a LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is placed below the camera. The front camera is a 8 Megapixel sensor of f/1.9 aperture and come with front facing flash. Samsung A Series (2018)
Samsung Galaxy A series consists of a premium mid-range smartphones which come with a unibody metal design, almost bezel less Infinity display, curvy sides and ergonomic design.
Samsung Galaxy A6+
Samsung Galaxy A6+ comes with a 6.0" inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display of resolution 2220 x 1080 pixels, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chip, Octa-core processor and Adreno 506 GPU. Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus comes with 4GB RAM & 64GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card which can be inserted in the dedicated microSD slot.
Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus runs Android 8.0 Oreo topped with Samsung UI. On the rear, you'll find a Dual-camera setup, which consist of a 16 Megapixel sensor of f/1.7 aperture + a 5 Megapixel sensor of f/1.9 aperture, on the side you'll find a LED flash, while the fingerprint sensor rests below the camera.
The front camera is a 24 Megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and front facing LED flash. The connectivity option you get on Galaxy A6 Plus include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, GPS and 3.5 mm jack. Similar to Galaxy J8, the Galaxy A6 Plus also packs a bigger 3500 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6" inch Super AMOLED HD+ display of resolution 1480 x 720 pixels, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Availability
Samsung Galaxy J6, Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ will be available across India starting May 22, 2018. The smartphones will be available across retail stores, Samsung website and via other offline channels. Samsung Galaxy J6 will be available on Flipkart while Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ will also be available on Amazon. These smartphones will also be available on PayTM Mall starting May 22, 2018.
Samsung Galaxy J8 will be available on all of the above mentioned channels from July 2018 onwards. All four smartphones will be available in Blue, Black & Gold colors.
